My dad always said, "It's past midnight, it's over, today is a new day." Sometimes it is hard to understand that everything that happens is suddenly in the past tense- everything that occurs in a single day already happened and all you can do is live with it.
Life isn't any easier knowing that everything is in the past, but I guess it helps?
